Two films with Ann Blyth in TCM's "31 Days of Oscar"

Turner Classic Movies celebrates the Oscars this month in its annual "31 Days of Oscar" with two Ann Blyth movies.  Today, we are treated to The Great Caruso (1951) and on Saturday, March 20th, we visit again the sociopathic machinations of Ann's character Veda in Mildred Pierce (1945).

The Great Caruso
is part of a day of honoring 1950s winning films, and Mildred Pierce on Saturday is a day devote to winners in the Best Actress category, which, of course, means Joan Crawford in her role as Ann's beleaguered mother.
