Ann Blyth performs the comedy number "Honey Bun" from South Pacific at Milwaukee's Melody Top Theater in 1973. Now that summer has returned to us, and the pandemic is receding thanks to vaccines, we hope that many of you can return to the sublime joy of summer theatre.
Ann performed for many years in summer theatre, and we have several photos, thanks to Dan Pagel of the Memories of Melody Top website, that bring those days back to us. I hope to be posting several over the summer as time permits.

Ann Blyth! My buddy Craig Jacobs worked with her on a
summer stock production in Milwaukee. After
watching her perform and dance in rehearsals, he told her how he marveled that
she never perspired no matter how hard she worked. Days later, after one particularly grueling
rehearsal, she came up to him, pointed to her forehead, and said, “Look!” to
show him that a single bead of sweat had formed."
